The Parish Council awards grants in accordance with its powers under Section 137 of the Local Government Act 1972.  The awards should be made by the Council in the interests of the area and its inhabitants and should benefit them in a manner commensurate with Section 137 Budget.

The Parish Council meets twice every financial year to consider its grant awards.

For this year, 2017-2018:

The first grant application round was considered in July 2017:

o   26 June 2017                            - Closing date for Grant Application Forms

o   11 July 2017                             - Parish Council meeting to agree grant awards

o   15 August 2017                       - Grant award payments made

The second grant application round will be considered in January 2018:

o   11 December 2017                 - Closing date for Grant Application Forms

o   9 January 2017                        - Parish Council meeting to agree grant awards

o   13 February 2017                    - Grant award payments made

An update on available Grant funds

Our Parish Councillors have set the total fund for 2017-2018 grants to £12,000.

In July 2017, a total of 19 local Community Groups were successfully awarded a grant for a diverse set of projects to support their work. £7,018.31 (58%) of the total grant funds were allocated in July with £4,981.69 (42%) remaining for the January 2018 grant award allocation.
