Appeal Decision - Foxley Oaks - Land south of Foxley Lane, Binfield, Berkshire.    28 February, 2018

The Parish Council's Planning & Transportation Committee met last night and reviewed the Planning Inspectorate decision regarding Foxley Oaks.

The Inspector dismissed the appeal, thereby rejecting the proposal to build 350 homes on this site because of the value of the landscape in its own right, the location is not sustainable due to walking distances and distance to public transport and because of impact to the rural feel of Murrell Hill Lane.

The full decision can be found here.

The Parish Council are very pleased at the outcome and wish to thank the following groups and individuals for their efforts:

  • Borough Councillor Sarah Peacey
  • BVPS (Binfield Village Protection Society) and in particular Mr Simon Butcher
  • The resident group from Murrell Hill Lane and in particular Mr and Mrs Reed
  • Parish Councillor's Terry Dilliway and Jeremy Evans
