   M4 Junctions 8/9 to 10 Hammonds Wood Bridge - Maintenance Scheme    25 August, 2017

Kier Highways, on behalf of Highways England, will be undertaking essential repairs to the bridge which carries the B3018 Binfield Road over the M4, to ensure it remains in a safe and serviceable condition.

Activities will involve replacing the joints and waterproofing material beneath the carriageways, then resurfacing across the bridge deck.

The work is currently scheduled to start on Monday 4 September 2017* and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2017 (please be aware that these works have been carefully programmed but are subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances).

In order to carry out the work as efficiently and safely as possible, the following temporary traffic management restrictions will be in place on the B3018 Binfield Road:

Day-time hours (6am to 10pm) – temporary traffic lights to manage one lane running across the bridge

Night-time hours (10pm to 6am) – full closure of the bridge with a clearly signed diversion in place via B3018, The Straight Mile and Forest Road

Confirmed dates for the closures will be displayed in advance on signs at the bridge.
