A strong community is a happy and healthy community
"Let’s work as a community and help take the pressure off local hospitals"
With increased pressures on NHS hospitals and A&E services throughout the country, Bracknell and Ascot Clinical Commissioning Group are urging its local communities and voluntary groups to work together and provide support to its neighbours over the next few weeks.
The key message is to prevent visits to A&E, by:
• Visiting elderly or infirm neighbours in your local community, to check they are well and have everything they need. • Making sure people can get to their local pharmacy or GP if they feel under the weather and need advice or treatment. • Continuing to visit someone every once a week or fortnight – visit them once or twice more than normal. • Making sure if someone is in urgent need of medical treatment you must seek help either from their GP or by calling 111
